Is moving to the cloud actually cheaper?

Not automatically, and anyone who says otherwise is selling. It is cheaper when it is right-sized, and more expensive when it is not. What it reliably buys you is elasticity, real backups, and not owning hardware that fails on a Friday. We give you the monthly number before you commit.

Can you take over infrastructure someone else built?

Yes, and it is a common starting point. We audit what exists, document it, close the security gaps, and stabilise deployment before changing anything structural. The first goal is that you understand what you are running.

What happens if our site suddenly gets a lot of traffic?

That gets designed for up front, because the day it happens is the worst possible time to find out. Depending on your application that means autoscaling, a CDN in front of static assets, and caching — and we load-test it rather than hoping.
